Job Description
We are looking for experienced Code 14 – EC Truck Drivers with Dangerous Goods Certification
Must have Super-link trailer experience driving Volvo Truck Tractors
Must be a South African citizen.
Job Requirements
- You will be required to drive and transport all required loads as per routing schedule and carry out all tasks timeously in a safe and efficient manner.
- You will be responsible for all operations inside and outside the vehicle in accordance with the National Road Traffic Act and Company Regulations.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation is completed accurately and timeously and submitted to the relevant supervisors.
- To ensure that clients are serviced in a professional manner, on time, safely and efficiently.
- Must be able to work on Weekends and Public Holidays ( A Truck Driver’s job entails many day’s away from home)
Minimum Requirements
The experienced Code 14 – EC Drivers must have the following:
- Must be South African
- Must have A Valid Code 14 – EC South African Drivers License
- Must Have A minimum of 5 Years Driving Experience
- Valid PRDP to transport goods and dangerous goods
- Valid Dangerous Goods Training Certificate
- Must be of Sober Habits
- Must be Drug Free ( Tests will be conducted)
- Must have No criminal Convictions or cases pending
- Must have Good References
- Must have good record of fuel consumption from previous Employment
- Must have good record of Attendance and Punctuality from previous Employment
- Must have not been involved in any Major Accidents which lead to dismissal

We are looking for experienced Accounts Clerk with experience in Accounts and working with Sage Pastel Accounting and VIP Payroll
Minimum Requirements
- Gr 12 (Matric),
- Relevant tertiary qualification (E.g bookkeeping course) ,
- Pastel Partner Experience (intermediate or advanced level)
- VIP Payroll Experience (advantagous but not necessary)
- Microsoft Office (High level of competency in Excel ) including advanced Excel skills ;
- Must have experience in handling Debtors & Creditors ,
- Must have experience in admin / general office management including scanning,
- Excellent telephone manners / etiquette,
- Timely and effectively collect all debts and customer payments.
- Maintain contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment.

- Resolve queries both internally and externally on outstanding invoices.

Diesel Technician (01/06/2023)

Job Description
The main purpose of the job is to maintain the Colt Transport Volvo Truck Fleet in their Depot in Pietermaritzburg by adding value in terms of servicing and preventative maintenance schedules – to keep the fleet uptime to 99%.
Reporting: This position reports to the Fleet Director
Minimum Requirements
- Basic and Annual Servicing of Volvo Trucks (New Shape)
- Basic and Annual Overhauling of Afrit / SA Truck Bodies / GRW Trailers which includes BPW Air Suspensions
- Understand and ability to fix common Air related issues
- Understand and ability to fix common Electrical related issues
- Welding Experience advantageous
- After-hour work in terms of breakdowns will be required
- Must have valid Driving license
- Be able to Fault tracing and diagnosis
- Apply knowledge and experience to interpret symptoms of “under performance” or failure of components.
- Produce work of acceptable standards as per instructions/directives * Produce and maintain work in accordance with the Company and Manufacturers standard
- Follow repair and maintenance instructions and specifications provided
- Follow procedures/processes to ensure vehicles/components are Fixed properly the first time * Provide comprehensive and accurate reports on diagnosis, assessment of component/part, failures, observations, actions and recommendations
- Document observations, actions, recommendations and job cards and relevant service/information sheets * On completion of the work, complete job cards
- When completing the job cards the following will be looked at:
- Complaint
- Cause
- Correction
- Completed QC and Service schedules
- Parts Requestion
- Precise completion of job card to ensure accurate interpretation by the Fleet Manager * Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the Companies standard and management requirements
- Must Have OWN tools
- Equipment stored according to management requirements *
- Repair Fleet Breakdowns
- Liaise with driver before responding to breakdowns.
- Ensure the correct documentation / parts is in place
- Respond to and repair breakdowns especially after hours
- Complete job cards and log the kilometres, travelling time and parts invoice.
- On return from breakdown, hand in all documentation * Compliance to ISO Standards and Safety
- Following ISO standards for all processes in the area of responsibility
- Ensure the safety processes are followed
- Ensure adherence to the Safety Act and Regulations
Education
- Matric/N3.
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic.
Job Experience
- 3 to 5 years in maintenance and repairs of commercial vehicles either at Dealership or Trucking Company
- Must be an allrounder, and ability to handle multiple repair tasks
Key Competencies
- Ability to read all relevant measuring equipment.
- Knowledge/skills to effect correct repair work.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and specifications and put into practice.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Computer literate.
Salary Structure negotiable based on Work Experience.

Experience
- Code 08 licence
- Microsoft Office experience, incl. Excel, Outlook, Word
- Vehicle tracking experience (C-Track / Netstar/ )
- 3 to 5 years in transport industry (operations)
- Health and Safety Experience
- RTMS Experience
- CHEP pallet Management Experience
General Characteristics/Duties
The successful candidate will be required to effectively manage and execute the following:
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the customer
- Manage customer orders and plan fleet accordingly
- Continuous tracking of entire fleet ensuring that all vehicles are running according to plan
- Timeous communication with customer re any delays in deliveries
- Daily briefing/de-briefing of drivers .
- Conduct briefing and de-briefing of drivers, ensuring accurate records are kept.
- Conduct minor disciplinary measures.
- Collection and consolidation of all delivery documentation (POD’s, trip sheets, fuel slips etc)
- Continuous communication with drivers
- Oversee the health and safety of our drivers and the fleet
- Co-ordination of all fleet breakdowns
- Capturing of daily vehicle movement spread sheet and revenue
- Management and capturing of driver hours and driver roster
- Capturing daily KM spread sheet
- Monitor loading and offloading times and record and report delays
- Make sure all vehicles are cleaned on a regular basis
- Carry out daily vehicle checks on vehicles (damages, equipment, tools, tags etc)
- Make sure drivers report damages to trucks/trailers and/or missing equipment
- Maintain vehicle service schedule and ensure all vehicles are serviced as required
- Any other operational duties that might be required
